Type of business concerned why I consider it to have a good chance of success on the Web

I have been living in England for more than a year now, but originally Im from Marseilles which is a city located in the South of France. There is a saying there if I translate it, that goes like this "You realise that you love something when you dont have it anymore". And I soon found out it was true. After trying British food, which I quite like, the moment came when I started having flashbacks of my home country.

South of France cuisine also called "provencale" cuisine is full of flavours and is naturally tasty thanks to its products bursting with sunshine. Vegetables, fishes, bouillabaisse (a soup made of fishes and saffron), herbs, spices that give an unmatched taste. And of course garlic and olive oil.

Dreams of tasty meals made of the products I could find almost everywhere back then, but that were impossible to find now I had moved away.

Custom Essays on Business Use of Internet and Intranet

I searched a lot of places for the usual croissants or pains au chocolat I used to have for breakfast, I tried to eat some so called French food, but none of the places I tried had it right.

Also Im a student, which means I dont have much time to prepare, buy, or eat food. Like a lot of people in this country, I stop and have a sandwich or salad for lunch or dinner. Thats why I also tried to find places on the Web that could deliver some French food, just in the same way I would do my online shopping at the supermarket or order a pizza by phone. I have to admit that the results amazed me. I now lived in London, capital of England, but all I could find was two online shops. The first one didnt sell anything online, and the other one only did deliveries for work meetings. The only places that sold food from South of France were restaurants, but it was impossible to order anything from a computer.

Far from just being something that I love, food from the South of France reflects everything from its origins. South of France, especially the part called Provence is famous all around the world now. Thanks to writers, thanks to feedback from tourists, more and more people discover its wonderful weather, landscapes, and "chaleur de vivre" which explain why our food is so tasty and diversified, and a synonym of healthy eating.

Of course in England, everything French, whether its food or clothes is quite popular, but there is a growing trend in selling beauty products for example, that come from South of France and which all carry this healthy brand image (lOccitane for example).

All of this research and analyse made me reach the following conclusions

I could sell online "take away" South of France inspired food, and at the same time sell some attached products used in its making( such as olive oil, garlic and olive based products, traditional biscuits and condiments).

Trendy, tasty, healthy, and no other web site can provide the same service in the UK

Type of site navigation scheme and technical features

I would like people to be able to use my web site easily, so the navigation scheme will be very simple.

There will be an index where all the different parts of the web site will appear. I at the moment think it will be present on every page, but the most important thing is that customers can get back to the main page without having to search for ages where they should be clicking.

The site will be divided in different parts

Below is how the pages in my site should be linked to each other

All parts of the site will be accessible from the main page, but some parts will be linked to each other.

·On the menu and traditional products page, each product listed will come with a picture and description.

From these pages, the customer will be able to access the "order" part.

·The traditional products page will be linked to he information on traditions and other facts page.

·The information on traditions and other facts page will be linked to the links section.

I will either do the linking by using pictures on which you can click and be directed to a new page, or by simple, clicking on apparent html writing.

·A Frequently asked questions section will be linked to the order section

·The information of the month section will be updated automatically when the information has no longer anything to do with the current month of the year or when special offers are no longer valid.

·The site will have an order form I have to build. It has to be simple and secure.

·For the moment I dont know exactly which font I am going to use, but I would like it to be formal. As for the colours, I will choose some that are associated with the of South of France, for example lavender blue and light yellow.

·I would also like to add sound to my Web site. I have thought about the sound that the cicadas create, because it is something that you hear all day in the South of France and which is quite soothing. But I will not use the same sound on every page so as not to annoy the customers.

·I would also like to show small animations, for example when the order has been registered, I would like to have something like a motorbike going around the screen with at the same time a message confirming it is being processed.

Details of the main commercial features of the site/contribution they make to attracting business to the site

·Take away shop the products

The takeway part of the site will sell

· Throughout the year, and depending on the seasons and new products available, I will launch some special offers in my "Information of the month section". This section will at the same time provide important days in the "Provencal" calendar. More information will then be found in the Information on traditions and other facts if the customer wants to know more about it.

·For each product there will be a description, a picture, and a brief explanation of what it is made of.

·The information on traditions and other facts part will provide interesting information for customers, explaining where the food they eat comes from, how the products are created, how South of France looks like, what its culture is, its way of living and traditions.

I will give below some examples of how I plan to present this so you can have a better understanding of what I mean by this.

·Example of information on food

A Provencal saying says that fishes live in water and die in oil.

Tapenade puree made of crushed black olives (or green olives) mixed withcapers and anchovies. Can be eaten on a grilled slice of bred grated with garlic or serve as an accompaniment for fishes or meats.

Laïoli mayonnaise made with olive oil and slitely mixed with garlic. It goes very well with vegetables and fish.

Le pistou basil, olive oil, and garlic based paste. The word comes from Latin word Pestare which means crushed, because the basil leaves have to be crushed in a mortar in order to mix well in the preparation.

Ratatouille pepper, courgettes, aubergines, tomatoes and onions stew preparated with olive oil. Can be eaten cold or hot, as an accompaniment or as a main meal.

Bouillabaisse the particular taste of the Mediterranean fishes rascasse, rouget, lotte, congre, araigne, saint-pierre, explain why Marseille is such famous. Served with a traditional suace called rouille.(all you want to now about bouillabaisse)

Oil

Symbol of peace between God and the human beings, the olive tree is said to be the first tree to have emerged from the waters, telling Noe that human life could start again on planet Earth. Its fossilised leaves have been found inProvence, and it could have been there since 8000 years before our era. It is around 500 before J.-C. that the Phoceens graff different varieties coming from Asia on the initial wild olive tree, which permits them to implement them in their area. In 1840, France has 6 millions of olive trees. Then people start to try sunflower and corn.

In the last years, the French producers got involved in a production under the designation"controlled origin". It guaranties the geographic origin as well as the quality linked to a real know-how.The manufacturing methods havent changed much in time. The unstoned olives are crushed until obtaining a smooth paste from which at the contact with water is extracted the virgin olive oil.

·For an example of seasonal modifications, I plan to talk about the "1 desserts" during the months of December and January. I will also introduce a new seasonal product called "galette des rois". It is sort of cake in the shape of a crown that we eat after Christmas

·There is no dessert section yet in my products, but it is planned for later. The same goes for the drinks.

The customers will not only come on the site to purchase food. They will have a whole range of information to discover the origins of the products and they will be able to travel to South of France from their chair buy viewing the pictures in the gallery.

The customer feedback section will allow them to make any comments they wish to make, or they can also e-mail their enquiries. There will be a phone number and e-mail address if they have any problems that the FAQ section cannot answer. At the same time this will help me make some changes in terms of menu or ordering and delivery system.

If they wish to have information on how to go to South of France or like to know more, they will find useful web sites addresses on the links page.

Press release

As we tend to have less and less time to eat properly but at the same time want to eat healthily, we tend to be monotonous in our habits. But now with our new range of South of France online take away and traditional food shop, sunshine is brought to our plates.

The rich tastes of the sun bursting cuisine enlightens the grey days and promises to fulfil both the body and mind through its extensive range of products.

From breakfast to diner, vegetarian or non vegetarian eaters who have a demanding life can find a good and convenient way to cater for their needs. Deliveries can be made anywhere in England.

Also, this site will satisfy the curiosity as well as the palate as it provides extensive information on Provence, country of the thousand colours and traditions.

"Sometimes I wish you werent my little sister!" I shouted. "Well you werent the

older sister that I wanted, so ha!" shouted back Richa. We were at it like a Tom and Jerry

cartoon episode. Pulling each others pig tails, slapping each other left and right, a few

"Ahhhhs" here and there, and of course the occasional punch when needed. This was a Help with essay on people

weekly routine at our household when I was six and my sister was three years old. One

thing was true though, at the end of our little sibling rivalries I would always end up being

punished while my little sister walked out with a smile, as if, she won the Spelling Bee or

something. However, there was this one event that happened about two summers ago that

summed up all the anger I had towards my little sister.

It was late afternoon, I want to say around 00 p.m. on a Saturday. The sun was

still in full bloom. It was very peaceful outside because it was too hot to do anything. All

you could hear were the air condition machines on the side of everyones home along with

the "chh...chh...chhhhhhhhh...chh...chh!" of the sprinklers trying to fill the thirst of the

grass. I was inside of course, planted onto the living room couch. I was casually flipping

through all of the cartoon channels while sipping some lemonade in my Barney cup. My

sister was sound asleep in her room and my parents....I really dont remember where they

were that day. I finished watching the Tom and Jerry show around 0 p.m. and decided

to put my cup back into the kitchen. I jumped off of the couch because my feet barely

touch the ground. I ran into the kitchen and plopped the plastic cup into the sink and

decided to go to my room. I started to play with my Barbies and attempted giving each

one a different hairdo. I ran into the bathroom down the hallway and grabbed a pair of

scissors from one of the drawers. I ran back quickly and picked up the Barbie doll on the

floor and started trimming the Barbies hair. I was bored within five minutes. So I put

everything away where it belonged. I was such the neat freak when I was younger....I

wonder what happened to me?

Anyway, I headed out to the bathroom again to put the scissors back

into the drawer, but just for the heck of it I decided to pay my little sister a visit. Her door

was closed because she was sleeping and so I tried opening the door as softly as possible.

I opened it an inch at a time and stuck my eyeball through the crack to see her. I finally

got the door opened enough so I could fit through. I let myself in a silent manner. I looked

around her room for anything that I could disturb her with. Nothing came to my mind

besides the pair of scissors in my hand. My little sister was under her covers and so I had

to be careful once again. I lifted her pink comforter an inch at a time and surprisingly she

didnt move at all. I lifted the comforter over so I wouldnt have to hold it. "Perfect!" I

whispered. She had her hair braided in pig tails which was perfect because I could cut her

hair off easily and painlessly just like the Barbie dolls I had been playing with. I carefully

grabbed the first pig tail and slipped the scissors onto my fingers. Luckily she didnt have

thick hair otherwise I wouldnt have been easy to snip her hair braid off so easily.

"Snip...snnnniiiip....and sniiiiiiiiiip...!" her braid was now in my hand. I never knew revenge

was so sweet. I placed the braid chunk on her dresser that laid next to her bed. I went

onto the other side of the bed and attempted to cut off the other braid but she started to

move. I quickly laid down on the floor like a dead, little girl because I thought she had

woken up for sure. I heard the bed squeak as she moved around on it. I tried not making a

single sound, I even stopped breathing at some instances and closed my eyes. Then there

was a dead silence. "Ok....I think she went back to sleep again." I was thinking in my

head. I got up on my knees carefully and popped my head from the side of her bed. The

coast was clear as I checked with my eyes wide open. She flipped over to the other side.

"PERFECT!" I thought. Now I could chop off the other braid. I slipped on the scissors

onto my fingers once again. I leaned over her and grabbed the braid gently and snipped

away. All you could hear is the blade of the scissors cutting up every strand at a time.

"Snip, snnnniiiippp, and sniiiiip!" All was done and over with. I tip-toed to the other side

of her bed where the dresser was and grabbed the chunk of hair that laid there. I walked

out of her room and inch by inch closed her door behind me. I washed the scissors so no

evidence would be found and I tossed the hair in the waste basket.

I went back to my room and started playing with my dolls again as if nothing had

happened. It was the most memorable time of my life as I look back at it. Of course, I got

in trouble but it was definitely worth it.
